Riders are needed for Seneca Allegheny trip. We have made arrangements for a smaller restroom equipped bus but must have 35 people to pay for the bus. The charge for the trip is $22 which also gives you $20 coin voucher and a $5 food credit.

Last picnic of the year will be on Aug. 28 at Rod & Gun featuring corn on the cob, hot dogs, beans and more. Bring a wrapped gift to play the game of Rip Off.

Don’t forget! The Allegheny Community Center Annual Picnic will be Friday evening, Aug. 29, at Betts Park starting at 5 p.m. There will be a full menu of picnic food favorites including the traditional homemade punch bowl cake. You can expect lots of good old fashioned fun including games (weather permitting). Enjoy live entertainment by Bobbie Lawson and Ron Carrington. You might want to bring your folding chair. Minimal donation requested. A good time will be had by all!

Free blood pressures taken from 10-11 a.m. on Mondays in the ACC Wellness Room.

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Delicious regular lunches or light alternative lunches are available Monday-Friday at noon for members and the public. Minimal donation expected. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunches offer a variety of specialty meals to members and the public on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Minimal donation expected. Take-outs are available.

The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Aug. 25-29: salsa chicken Monday; hot dog Tuesday; cabbage roll Wednesday; meatball sub Thursday; and relish tray, salad and sandwiches Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
