On ANF special use renewals

The Forest Service is proposing to issue new special use authorizations to replace 27 currently expired authorizations for existing springs, roads and pipelines on the Bradford Ranger District, Allegheny National Forest. The uses proposed for re-authorization are located in Warren County (Cherry Grove, Limestone, Mead, Pleasant, Sheffield and Watson townships), McKean County (Corydon, Hamilton, Hamlin, Lafayette and Wetmore townships), and Forest County (Hickory and Kingsley townships). In total, the 27 authorizations occupy about 62 acres of National Forest System lands.

Comments are requested by Sept. 19.

This scoping period may be the only opportunity to comment on the project before a decision is made. Written comments may be mailed or hand-delivered to Macario J. Herrera, District Ranger, Bradford Ranger District, 29 Forest Service Dr., Bradford, PA 16701. Verbal comments may be provided by calling (814) 362-6012, and comments submitted by facsimile may be sent to (814) 362-2761. Business hours for those submitting hand-delivered or oral comments are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Electronic comments must be submitted in plain text (.txt), rich text (.rtf), or Microsoft Word format to comments-eastern-allegheny-bradford@fs.fed.us. Enter the project name (Bradford FY14 Special Use Renewals) on the subject line. Comments received after Sept. 19 will be considered to the extent that time allows. Comments received, including names and addresses of those who submitted comments, will be considered part of the public record and will be available for public inspection.
