Donations to WCHS

Donations have been received by the Warren County Humane Society, Paws Along the River, in honor of Dr. Adam, Judge Maureen Skerda, and Wallace and Diana Carter, and in memory of Arthur Anderson, Carter Moore, Cathryn Yeagle, Charles and “Molly” Nichols, Clara Carlson, Doug Carlson, Ed and Barb Sleeman, Eric Paddock Jr., Ethel Sherwood, Eugene Billinglea, Florence Vandenburg, Gretchen Cassell, Harry Kershaw, Jacquelyn Malone, James McMichael, Jay White, Joan Hamel, John Hennessey, Judy Acklin, Kenneth Lynn, Kim Willman, Nancy Donaldson, Nancy Enos, Robert Stanton, Thomas Siesky and William Mader.

Democrats to meet

The Warren County Democratic Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center on Second Ave., Warren.

Final plans will be made for the annual Democratic Dinner to be held Saturday, Sept. 20. All Democrats are invited to attend.

Pool to close

The final day for swimming this summer at the Warren Municipal Pool will be Sunday, Aug. 24.

Blood drives planned

The Community Blood Bank will hold two blood drives in the Warren area. The first will be from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Holy Redeemer Church, and the second from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Youngsville Fire Hall.

Car Cruise-In

at Warren Manor

The Southern Tier Classic Chevy Club will hold a car cruise-in at Warren Manor from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

The event is open to all makes, models and years, including special interest vehicles. Special trophies will be awarded by Warren Manor residents. For more information, contact Darla Heckathorn at 723-7060.
