Campout planned

The Pennsylvania Warren County Chapter of A.B.A.T.E., Alliance of Bikers Aimed Towards Education, a nationwide motorcycle advocacy and safety organization, invites the public to participate in a camp-out at Couvers Crossing in Pittsfield Aug. 22-24. Registration for a ride will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the campground, with kickstands up at noon. A free meal and free camping will be offered on Saturday, Aug. 23. AOC on the move

On Saturday, Aug. 23, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes and kayak in the village of Findley Lake, N.Y. Participants will meet at Betts Field in Warren at noon to carpool or at 1:30 p.m. in Findley Lake. For more information, call Linda or Earl Ross at 726-3920.

Garden Club to meet

Warren Garden Club will meet at the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21. Christine Kuntz, a new club member and local apiarist (bee keeper) will introduce Mason Bee, its lifestyle, activities and usefulness. Class to lunch

Warren High School Class of 1944 will have lunch Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Eagles Club, Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren, with a get-together at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at noon. Spouses and significant others are welcome.

Pittsfield Homecoming

Pittsfield Homecoming will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, at Pittsfield Community Center with a tureen dinner at noon. Participants should take their own table service and a dish to share.
