The following establishments were inspected in Warren in June and received one-year license renewals:
Shell Service Station, 1701 Pennsylvania Ave. W., one non-critical violation: thermometer not provided in all freezers.
Trinity Memorial Church, 444 Pennsylvania Ave. W., no violations.
Shur-Fine, 1613 Pennsylvania Ave. E., no violations.
BiLo, 74 Market St., two critical violations: deli case not at proper cold holding temperature; and outdated meat found in deli case; and one non-critical violation: kitchen floor needs cleaned under and around appliances.
Dollar General, 40 Market St., one non-critical violation: cooler vents need cleaned.
Vita Bella, 340 Pennsylvania Ave. W., two critical violations: uncovered food found in refrigerator; and small refrigerator not at proper cold holding temperature.
Six-month inspections were conducted at the following:
Little Caesar’s, 2 Market St., no violations.
McDonald’s, 75 Market St., two non-critical violations: thermometers not provided in all freezers; and all staff not wearing hair restraints in kitchen area.
Plaza Restaurant, 328 Pennsylvania Ave. W., two non-critical violations: food stored in boxes on floor in walk-in; and all staff not wearing hair restraints in kitchen area.
The following establishments were inspected in June and declared in compliance by the Department of Agriculture:
Kafferlin’s Pittsfield Inn, 418 Main St., Pittsfield, three violations: two bottles of chemicals in the dishwashing area not labeled – some personal medicine in the kitchen area; temperature measuring device on the low temp dishwasher not working properly; and potential rodent harborage areas inside the food facility observed in the basement area due to a large pile of unused metal conduits.
Sheetz, 2425 Market St., Warren, three violations: there was a half gallon of milk in the cooler of the drive through area offered for sale with a 6-17-14 sell by date (inspection date June 20); a puddle of soda syrup was observed in the storage area under the soda fountain; and a dead spider was found in the ice making machine.
Sweet Sarah’s Kettle Korn, 1285 Route 958, Pittsfield, no violations.
Family Dollar, 1036 Pennsylvania Ave. W., no violations.
New Beginnings Family Restaurant, 1 Main St., Sugar Grove, no violations.
Bear Lake Inn, 1439 Greely St., Bear Lake, two violations: dust accumulation under bar counter-tops, above drinking glass storage, in bar area; and ventilation hood system baffles, interior canopy, and fire suppression lines in need of a detailed cleaning to remove the accumulation of static dust and grease.
