Elk Township Historical Society announces photo winners

The Elk Township Historical Society has announced its winners for the 2014 Amateur Photography Contest. Lucy-Jane Rector, a Scandia School alumnus now living in Kentucky, won best of show. The category winners are: Fur and Feathers: Patti DiPenti, first; Lucy-Jane Rector, second; Jill Jewell, third.

Still Life: Patti DiPenti, first; Don Sharp, second; Amy W. Johnson and Debbie Fitzsimmons, third-place tie.

Holidays: KathyMasterson, first; Kristi Withers, second; Debbie Fitzsimmons, third.

Wheels: Matthew Rector, first; Sharon Johnson, second; Patti DiPenti, third.

Yard & Garden: Debbie Fitzsimmons, first; Patti DiPenti, second; Amy W. Johnson, third;

American Landscapes: Larry Knowlton, first; Sharon Johnson, second; Patti DiPenti, third.

Judges Jonathan Hart, Judy Barrett and Ron Maier critiqued almost 100 wonderful photos. Stop by at the former Scandia School to view the photo display and vote for the People’s Choice Award for each category at the open house on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 1 to 4 p.m.
