15 cases handled in arraignment court

Three defendants entered guilty pleas and 12 more entered pleas of not guilty during Warren County arraignment court proceedings Thursday.

Entering guilty pleas were:

Scott B. Curry, of Pittsfield, guilty to DUI: general impairment with accident – third offense; driving on roadways laned for traffic; and careless driving. Charges of DUI: high rate of alcohol – third offense; notice of change of name or address; driving on right side of roadway; driving vehicle at safe speed; immediate notice of accident to police; and restriction on alcoholic beverages; were not prosecuted.

Alexander S. Peterson, of Warren, guilty to theft from a motor vehicle; and loitering and prowling at night time. Charges including seven counts of theft from a motor vehicle; and criminal mischief; were not prosecuted.

Kathryn I. Steinkamp, of Warren, guilty to false reports to law enforcement. Charges of controlled substance, drug device, and cosmetic act; and two counts of false reports to law enforcement; were not prosecuted.

Entering not guilty pleas were:

Daniel R. Adams, of Jamestown, N.Y., charged with theft by unlawful taking; theft by deception; and retail theft.

Michael S. Anderson, of Warren, charged with terroristic threats; simple assault; unauthorized use of automobiles; theft by unlawful taking; and fraudulent use or removal of registration plates.

Darnell R. Carter, of Marienville, charged with possession with intent to deliver; possession of a controlled substance; criminal use of a communication facility; driving while under suspension; registration and certificate of title required; operation of vehicle without official certificate of inspection; and notice of change of name or address.

William H. Dunn, of Youngsville, charged with DUI: general impairment – third offense; and DUI: high rate of alcohol – third offense.

Michael J. Garrett, of Warren, charged with DUI: general impairment with accident – first offense; DUI: high rate of alcohol – first offense; driving on right side of roadway; driving on roadways laned for traffic; driving vehicle at safe speed; and careless driving.

Tyler J. Humes, of Warren, charged with robbery; theft by unlawful taking; repair/sell/etc. offensive weapons; possession of a controlled substance; and false identification to law enforcement.

David C. Oberg, of Warren, charged with contraband.

Genie M. Pierson, of Corry, charged with possession with intent to deliver; possession of controlled substance; and criminal use of communication facility.

Tejay E. Shick, of Warren, charged with simple assault; and endangering welfare of child.

Karly S. Sorensen, of Warren, charged with causing or risking catastrophe; criminal mischief; DUI: general impairment – first offense; DUI: high rate of alcohol – first offense; DUI: combined alcohol and drug or combination of drugs; driving on right side of roadway; driving on roadways laned for traffic; careless driving; trespass by motor vehicle; reckless driving; and restraint systems.

Blaine VanGuilder, of Warren, charged with DUI: controlled substance, Schedule I – first offense; DUI: controlled substance, impaired ability – first offense; two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; and careless driving.

Aubrey J. Wertz, of Warren, charged with theft by unlawful taking.
