Warren Medical Group physicians; growing in Warren

Natalie Beyeler, D.O., Faraz Siddiqui, M.D., Razan Asaad, M.D. began their Internal Medicine practices with Warren Medical Group (WMG) in the fall of 2013. Over the past year, Dr. Beyeler, Dr. Siddiqui and Dr. Asaad have formed tremendous bonds, not only with their patients but also within the community.

The practices of the physicians continue to grow. In June, Shawna Steffan, PA-C, joined the Internal Medicine Practice of Natalie Beyeler, D.O. Steffan is a graduate of Ganon University. She completed six clinical rotations including Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine and Otolaryngology, all in the Warren area. She also completed a practicum at Saint Vincent Health Center.

Steffan sees patients daily, Monday through Friday in Dr. Beyeler’s office, located on the second floor of WGH. The addition of Steffan will facilitate increased patient access within the practice.

Natalie Beyeler, D.O., F.A.C.P, a native of the Warren area, is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Beyeler is also American board certified in Internal Medicine and has over 26 years experience in Internal Medicine.

In addition to practicing Internal Medicine, Dr. Beyeler is also certified in Endoscopy, Cardiopulmonary, and Echocardiology studies. When Dr. Beyeler is not seeing patients, she and her husband, Mark London, M.D., enjoy their horses, dogs, hunting, diving, gardening, camping, and adventures with their parents, siblings, children, and all of their grandchildren.

Dr. Beyeler’s decision to relocate to Warren came effortlessly, since this is where she calls home. Growing up in the area, she is very fond of Warren and is delighted to be back in the area with her parents, Matthew and Twila Beyeler, brother and sister-in-law, Dana and Ginnie Beyeler, and husband, Dr. London, who performs general surgery at WGH.

Faraz Siddiqui, M.D. is American board certified in Internal Medicine. He is a graduate of Dow Medical College, completing internships in Stroke Medicine at Imperial College London Charring, United Kingdom; Cardiology and Geriatrics at Scarborough General Hospital, United Kingdom; and Pulmonary and Renal Medicine at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, United Kingdom. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York.

As the practices continue to grow, so do the roots of the physicians’ families. Faraz Siddiqui, M.D. and his wife Salwa Khan, had a beautiful baby girl, Hafsah, in February. The Siddiqui’s couldn’t be happier and look forward to raising Hafsah in the wonderful Warren community.

Dr. Siddiqui was inspired to be a physician by his older brother, who is also a physician. Dr. Siddiqui enjoys reading, watching movies and is also involved in outdoor activities. He enjoys playing tennis and spending time just taking in the natural beauty of his surroundings, which is just one of the many reasons he loves Warren County.

Razan Asaad, M.D., also American board certified in Internal Medicine, attended medical school at Damascus University, Faculty of Medicine in Damascus, Syria. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Woodhull Medical Center, affiliated with New York University in Brooklyn, New York and she finished her residency in Internal Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital, North Shore LIJ in Staten Island, New York. Dr. Asaad received extensive exposure to Internal Medicine while at Columbia University, New York

Razan Asaad, M.D. and her husband Yanal, also happily announce the birth of their son, Ryan, last month. During Dr. Asaad’s maternal leave of absence, coverage for her patients will be in the capable hands of the other WMG Internal Medicine associates Dr. Siddiqui, Dr. Beyeler and Tammy Ristau, CRNP until her return.

In late May, Ristau joined Dr. Asaad in her practice. While Ristau is new to Dr. Asaad’s practices, she is well known by many WMG patients, who respect her medical expertise. Ristau has been employed with Warren Medical Group as an Internal Medicine certified registered Nurse Practitioner for the past four years. Ristau is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh earning a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner. She has extensive experience as a CRNP with over ten years of experience.

With the addition of Ristau, Dr. Asaad’s office was relocated to the St. Clair medical office building on St. Clair Street in Warren, creating additional access for patients. Dr. Siddiqui remains in the office located in the Crescent Park Health Clinic.

Dr. Asaad was inspired to become a physician by her father, who encouraged her to go as far as she could both academically and in life. At an early elementary school age, Dr. Asaad had an interest in the medical and health sections of the scientific magazines that her mother, a biology teacher, bought for her. She can still see herself at the age of 8 playing a game with the other children in her neighborhood, in which she acted as their doctor, trying to listen to their heart beats with her toy stethoscope.

Dr. Asaad and her husband, Yanal, moved to Warren, after they were inspired by the nice and welcoming nature of the people that they first met here in Warren. In their free time, they enjoy the beautiful nature while doing outdoor activities with her parents who are visiting from overseas. She also enjoys reading, shopping and watching movies.

We are fortunate to have these providers in our community, said a hospital spokesperson, as well as their growing families. If you would like to make an appointment with one of the physicians, call Internal Medicine Central Scheduling at (814) 230-2600.
