ACC’s annual TAWC bus trip to the 2014 Warren County Fair in Pittsfield will take place on Wednesday, August 6. The bus will leave the ACC lot at 10 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. Cost is $.25 each time you board the bus (for those 65+). There are senior citizen reduced gate fees, too. Lunch is on your own at the fair. To reserve your seat on the bus, please call 723-3237seats are limited and are going fast. Enjoy!

Just a reminder that Allegheny Community Center is comfortably air-conditioned and is a wonderful place to meet friends and enjoy summer. In addition to special activities such as luncheon parties and guest speakers, there are mind exercises, including Scrabble, cards of all kinds, Mah Jongg and Bingo, and body fitness exercises, including Tai-Chi, Yoga-Fit, Total fitness & core fitness, healthy steps, and walking the Center’s hallway (10 laps=1/2 mile). There’s always fresh brewed coffee as well as ice water and cold pop and juice. Please stop by the center and see for yourself!

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Delicious regular lunches or light alternative lunches are available Monday-Friday at noon for members and the public. Minimal donation expected. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunches offer a variety of specialty meals to members and the public on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Minimal donation expected. Take-outs available.


The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers July 28-Aug. 1: hot dogs Monday; salsa chicken Tuesday; cabbage roll Wednesday; meatball sub Thursday; and relish tray, salad and sandwiches Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
