PYOGA plans regional meeting
A “Meet and Greet” of the Penn York Oil and Gas Affiliates (PYOGA) of The Desk and Derrick Clubs (ADDC), a partner in the complex and ever changing energy industry, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at the Penn-Brad Oil Museum, 901 South Ave., Custer City.
The ADDC is comprised of clubs located in the U.S. and Canada. The local club is made up of members from the Olean and Jamestown, N.Y., and Bradford, Warren and Kane areas. The association’s purpose is to promote the education and professional development of individuals employed in or affiliated with the petroleum, energy and allied industries by attendance at monthly meetings, field trips and seminars. The club has various outreach programs that include scholarship opportunities at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, an annual essay contest available to all students in the area, and volunteering at the Penn Brad Oil Museum. Its mission is to enhance a positive image to the community by promoting the energy industries through education and professional development in the industry.
Informational pamphlets will be on hand along with club members to answer questions, or contact membership committee chairman Bev Roberts at firstname.lastname@example.org or (814) 368-1327 for more information.
