Cherry Grove Twp.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that between June 22 at 11:30 a.m. and July 3 at 7:40 p.m. someone broke a clasp with an unknown object and fled the scene on Hermit Springs Lane. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Eldred Twp.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between June 23 and July 1 someone threw several rocks through seven small windows and inside shades at a camp owned by Dale Searls, Meadville. Total damage was estimated at $200. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Glade Twp.

Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that on July 7 at 11:30 p.m. at 108 Holly St. Sarah Allana Munch, 20, Warren, subjected the victim, a known 19-year-old male, Warren, to physical contact while visiting at her residence. Police said harassment charges were filed against Munch at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on July 3 someone committed a burglary on Front Street. The victim is identified as Dorothy A. Rounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Pine Grove Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on July 5 at 6:22 p.m. on S. Main Street between Sunset Lane and Wintergreen Hill Lane Douglas Lee Whitmore, 56, Warren, was involved in a crash. Police said Whitmore’s vehicle was traveling north on S. Main Street when it left the roadway on the shoulder, overturned onto its driver side and hit a tree. The vehicle sustained disabling damage as a result of the crash and was towed from the scene. Police said Whitmore fled the scene prior to their arrival, but a short time later he was located on Priest Hollow Road. Police said upon further investigation, it was suspected that Whitmore was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to the state police barracks for chemical testing. Breath results determine his BAC to be above the legal limit, police said. Whitmore was charged with three counts of DUI, careless driving and other summary violations through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

DUI arrest. Warren-based state police reported that on July 5 at 8:23 p.m. an unidentified white female, 56, Palmetto, Fla., was arrested for DUI after she was found to be in control of a vehicle parked at a location on Priest Hollow Road.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on July 3 at 10:45 a.m. on Old Russell Road. A 2000 Ford F-150 driven by Roger L. Spencer, 56, North Tonawanda, N.Y., was southbound on Akeley Road. Police said Spencer lost control of the vehicle, causing it to travel off the roadway onto the grass berm on the west side of the roadway. The vehicle continued for approximately 200 feet at which point the undercarriage struck a ditch causing the vehicle to stop. Police said Spencer, as well as two passengers, all suffered minor injuries in the crash but no EMS transport was needed. Police said Spencer was cited for careless driving.

Mead Twp.

DUI. Warren-based state police reported that on July 6 at 2:46 a.m. an unidentified 27-year-old male, Sheffield, was stopped by state police at the intersection of Route 6 and Cherry Grove Road after committing several traffic violations. Police said the subject was found to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Pleasant Twp.

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that between July 2 at 8:30 p.m. and July 3 at 5:45 a.m. someone threw an egg at a vehicle belonging to a known 53-year-old male in the area of Kamp Street. Police said the egg broke the driver’s side rear view mirror and a damage estimate is at $200. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Sheffield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a three-vehicle accident on Route 6 in the area of Second Street on July 2 at 2:20 p.m. A 2005 Jeep Liberty drive by a 17-year-old female, Sheffield, was traveling east on Route 6. A 2003 Subaru Outback drive by Darwin Ottolini, Harrison Valley, Pa., and a 2005 Dodge Caravan drive by Diana Fox, Sheffield, were traveling east on Route 6 but were stopped in the lane of travel waiting for a vehicle to turn left. Police said the juvenile driver of the Jeep Liberty failed to notice the stopped vehicles and hit Ottolini’s vehicle causing it to hit Fox’s vehicle. The 17-year-old juvenile was cited with following too closely and was transported to Warren General Hospital by Sheffield VFD for treatment of minor injuries. Police said other minor injuries were reported but did not require EMS transport.

Clarendon

Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that between July 6 at 9 p.m. and July 7 at 7 a.m. someone slashed all four tires on a vehicle belonging to Clarence Edward Mott, Clarendon. Total estimated damage is $200. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Crawford County

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on July 3 at 2:45 p.m. on Mount Pleasant Road at its intersection with Route 8 in Bloomfield Township. According to police, a 2014 Subaru Legacy, driven by Richard P. Schirching, 61, Clarence, N.Y., was traveling north on Route 8 when he became distracted and failed to notice traffic slowing down in front of him. Police said Schirching swerved out of the northbound lane, left the roadway and continued north for approximately 50 feet, striking a 2008 Ford Escape drive by Ronda Larson, Warren, which was stopped at the intersection of Mt. Pleasant Road and Route 8. Police said Schirching was cited with driving on roadways laned for traffic. No injuries were reported.
