Theft. Conewango Township Police report that sometime between 10 p.m. on July 3 and 7 a.m. on July 4 someone stole a Pennsylvania license plate, number GTD5893 from a red Ford Escape owned by Everett Carlson of Sugar Grove while the vehicle was legally parked in the west end of the Walmart parking lot. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Conewango Township police at 726-0725.
Theft. An investigation by Pennsylvania State Police with the assistance of the United Refining Company’s Security Department of an incident that occurred at the Kwik Fill gas station at the intersection of Routes 6 and 27 resulted in the arrest of Tammy M. Fisher, 49, of Corry. Fisher was charged with one count of theft of property lost or mislaid. The charges were filed with District Justice Cindy Lindemuth. The victim’s money was recovered, and further court action is pending.
Hit and run. On July 3 at 8:24 p.m., someone backed a 2002 Honda Odyssey across Route 957, Main Street in Sugar Grove and struck the bumper of a 2005 Ford Taurus, which was legally parked on the north side of the road, pushing the Taurus partially onto the sidewalk. The Honda’s driver fled the scene west on 957, without giving proper notice of the accident.
