Thousands lined the parade route along Pennsylvania Avenue in Warren on Friday for the 67th Annual Fouth of July Parade.

Following several days of sweltering temperatures and high humidity, the weather for the march had reversed course, with a high temperature barely touching 70, deep blue skies with puffy white clouds and low humidity.

From twirlers to tubas, and politicians to police, it was two hours of a slice of Warren County winding its way through downtown Warren.

New this year was a concerted volunteer effort to clean up afterward.

Among the first units in the parade was one from Whirley Drinkworks! with volunteers passing out plastic trash bags to people along the route. The last unit was a refuse truck and more volunteers collecting the filled bags.

The result was a parade route much different than that which existed in previous years when the jetsam of Fourth of July revelers often made the route look like a disaster area.
