Clark gets a raise
If a raise is any indicator, the Warren County School District board of directors is giving a thumbs up to the Superintendent.
A late addition to the board’s docket for a special meeting Monday night “approves the increase to the Superintendent’s salary by 2 percent effective July 1, 2014.”
Dr. William Clark was hired June 24, 2013 and his contract with the district calls for an annual salary of $142,500 for a five year term July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2018.
A 2 percent raise amounts to $2,850.
A clause in the contract calls for the board to “no later than June 30” conduct an executive session for “mutual evaluation of the performance of the Superintendent.”
The motion approved on Monday called for the salary increase “based on a preliminary assessment of performance, with the understanding that the formal evaluation still will occur pursuant to the Superintendent’s contract.”
