H. “Kirk” Elicker, 64, of Sheffield, died on Friday, June 27, 2014, at his home. Kirk was born January 25, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Betty J. Kier Elicker and the late Howard Glen Elicker.
Kirk served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a crane operator for the National Forge. Kirk loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. He spent countless hours with friends and relatives on Kinzua, and was the recipient of several fishing awards. Kirk was well liked by his many friends and family, and was always willing to lend a hand. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his twin brother, H. Kreig Elicker, of Russell; two nieces, Kiera Elicker and Michelle Anderson; one nephew, Kurtis Elicker; two stepdaughters; and his dogs, whom he loved like his own children.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Glen Elicker, on January 19, 2014.
Friends will be received at the North Warren Presbyterian Church on Monday, July 7, from 5 to 6 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held there, with Rev. Burfoot S. “Buddy” Ward, pastor, officiating.
