Free football camp features former NFL linebacker

A free youth football camp featuring former NFL player Anthony Griggs is coming to Warren County.

The Eisenhower Pride, along with AG Squared Networks and The Legends Foundation, is offering a free one-day camp for football players ages 6-14 on Sunday, July 20, at War Memorial Field.

The camp will run two separate sessions, one for kids in grades K-3 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and another for kids in grades 4-8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Griggs played football collegiately for Villanova and Ohio State before moving on to a seven-year career in the NFL as a linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns.

He developed the Pittsburgh-based AG Squared Networks consulting service and currently serves as president of The Legends Foundation – a group of former professional athletes committed to helping young people make positive choices.

To register for the camp, go to and click “Accept your Group Invite.” Enter the code “warren” then complete all instructions, including adding your children to the KIDS group at the very end. The deadline for registration is July 18.

Participants are asked to arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the start of the camp to sign in. In the event of severe weather, the event may be rescheduled for a later date.
