Work Bee at the Warren County Fairgrounds

June 22 through June 28 will feature a week of work bees at the Warren County Fairgrounds. Anyone interested in helping out with painting, planting flowers, and general clean-up is welcome. Work will start at 9 a.m. Spend a day or spend an hour; come when you are able. All time is appreciated.

Win in bridge

The results of the Monday evening duplicate bridge game at the YMCA: Lana Creal and Doug Megill, first with 62, and Hal and Mary Conarro, and Bob Greco and Mary Anne Gibson, tied for second with 51.

Science program

offered by 4-H

Do you enjoy engineering and want to learn how to build your own robot? Warren County 4-H is sponsoring a science evening program for youths going into second grade and up, to learn more about 4-H opportunities and science. It will be held at the Penn State Extension office, 100 Dillon Dr., Youngsville, on July 16 at 6 p.m. The topic will be engineering, and youths will learn how to build and program WeDo LEGO robots. To dance Saturday

Circle Eight Square Dance Club will dance from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, in the auditorium at Warren State Hospital. Gene Hammond will call squares.

Polka Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at the Ridgway Eagles Club. Ray Skovinski of Avonmore will provide music for all types of dancing. For information, call Paul Leofsky at 563-7516.

Barbecue Saturday

Glade Volunteer Fire Department will have a Chicken Barbecue from 4 p.m. until the food is gone on Saturday, June 28, at Station 1, Hohman Rd. Cost will be $7 for a quarter chicken or $9 for a half chicken. Preorders are welcome; call 706-8549 or 723-5271. Free delivery will be offered for Glade Township residents. Dinner includes two sides, macaroni salad, watermelon, baked beans or coleslaw.
