Little League

Here are upcoming dates, by division, for Warren County Little League all-stars (complete brackets at www.wcybsa.org). The Warren Nationals Boys Majors (9-10) All-Stars play at Smethport-Mt. Jewett at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Old Timers baseball

The Jamestown Old Timers Men’s 50+ baseball team traveled to Youngstown, Ohio last Sunday and lost a pair of games to American Division rival, Chester, West Virginia. In game one, Brian Moldovan went 3-for-4 and Larry Persing 2-for-3 for Jamestown. In game two, Ron Thomas hit 3-for-3 for Jamestown. Jamestown’s record is now 2-4.

The Old Timers are back in action at home this coming Saturday, June 28, at Russell Diethrick Park. Jamestown hosts National Division leader Girard, Ohio for a double header beginning at 11 a.m.

Elks Club won the Monday Blueberry Senior League mid-season tournament with a score of 30. Team members include Larry Koppelman, Bud Baughman, Bob Wieland, and Dick Campbell.
