Crash. Warren-based state police said Jaqueline A. Carlson, 51, Ashville, N.Y., sustained a minor injury after she struck a deer on the roadway of Route 27 on Matthews Run Road at 10:35 a.m. Thursday.

Crash. Warren-based state police said Adam J. Penley, 30, Youngsville, was charged with reckless driving and 14 other traffic citations after he drove his Dodge 2008 Ram 1500 off the roadway on Route 27, approximately a half mile south of Murray Hill Road. According to police, Penley failed to negotiate a curve and traveled 235 feet off the east side of the road, struck a utility pole and newspaper box, continued 120 feet heading north before striking a mile marker sign, went another 12 feet and sideswiped a utility pole and traveled across two private driveways and struck two more newspaper boxes, continued traveling another 90 feet heading north and struck a third utility pole before traveling another 120 feet and struck a fourth utility pole. Police said Penley’s vehicle continued heading north for another 60 feet and re-entered the northbound lane of traffic, crossed both lanes for another 165 feet before exiting the western side of the road traveling for 45 feet and struck a fifth utility pole. Police said Penley’s vehicle continued another 30 feet heading north before coming to a rest on the western side of the road with the utility pole resting on top of the vehicle. Police said he received minor injury and his vehicle sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Freehold Twp.

Burglary/theft. Corry-based state police said personnel at Seamen’s Auto Wrecking in Pittsfield reported 30 transmissions and 50 transfer cases were removed between the hours of noon Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police.

Glade Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police said Matthew W. Sweigart, 16, Warren, was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed when he was traveling east on Jackson Avenue Ext. in a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and lost control while traveling around a right hand curve. Police say Sweigart traveled across the westbound lane and struck the embankment with the front of the vehicle. The vehicle continued to spin counter clockwise and the right side of the vehicle struck the embankment and rolled onto the roadway coming to a rest on its wheels. No injuries were reported.

Found property. Warren-based state police said a canoeist found a Remington .22 rifle and Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun in the Allegheny River, just west of the Kinzua Dam on the Hemlock Road side. The owner can contact the state police to claim the weapons.

Pleasant Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police said Ty Christensen reported the theft of a wallet from the beach at Chapman State Park on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. According to police, Christensen placed his wallet on the ground while he went swimming and when he returned the wallet was gone. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers.

Underage consumption of alcohol. Warren-based state police said Daniel R. Brown, 20, Clarendon, was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage after they were dispatched to Morrison Run Road and Mohawk Avenue Ext. on Friday at 2:24 a.m. for a disturbance. Police said charges will be filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.

Pine Grove Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police said Nancy C. Hottel, 77, Russell, was charged with careless driving after she was traveling west in a 2011 Ford Taurus SEL on Valentine Run Road at 3 p.m. when she was distracted reaching for a ringing cell phone which caused her to leave the roadway and hit a utility pole. She was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Penelec was contacted to replace the utility pole, and Russell VFD ambulance and personnel responded to the scene.

Pittsfield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police said John F. Stevenson, 56, Erie, was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed on May 25 when his 2009 Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle struck a guard rail on Route 6 at the intersection with Mile Run Road. He was thrown over the guard rail after impact and ended up in the eastbound lane of Route 6. He was flown from the scene with moderate injuries by Stat 17 to Hamot Medical Center in Erie. EmergyCare, Youngsville VFD and Wrightsville VFD assisted at the scene.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police said James A. Dyke, 71, Bear Lake, was charged with careless driving on May 29 at 6 p.m. when he was traveling east on Lee Johnson Road hauling a shed on a flatbed. The top of the shed hit a telephone wire pulling it from the utility pole and fell to the road. Police said Dyke continued to travel eastbound from the scene without checking on damages to the pole or utility wire or notifying police or the utility company.

Crash. Warren-based state police said Richard A. Harrington, 59, Springboro, was charged with roadways laned for traffic when he was traveling west on Route 69 and lost control of a 1997 Chevrolet CK 1500. The vehicle left the east side of the road and came to a rest in a ditch. Police said Harrington was not injured.

Clarendon

Crash. Warren-based state police said Kimberly L. Collingwood, 23, Sugar Grove, was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed when she fled in her 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser from a marked Pennsylvania State Police vehicle in an active pursuit on June 1 at 1:54 p.m.. Police say Collingwood turned onto Exchange Street from Route 6 heading east in Clarendon after a traffic stop in front of Kondak’s Market. Collingwood fled from the traffic stop heading west onto a private one-lane alley behind Kondak’s Market and sideswiped a legally parked 2010 Chevrolet Suburban behind the business. Collingwood continued to flee from the accident back onto Route 6 heading east. Police continued in pursuit and the vehicle was stopped in the parking lot of the Towne Tavern. Collingwood was not injured. Passengers in the vehicle driven by Collingwood were David L. Harkins, Jr., 24, Sugar Grove, not injured; a one-year-old male and an infant male were not injured.

Sugar Grove

Crash. Warren-based state police said James R. Decker, 33, Jamestown, N.Y., was charged with careless driving on June 16 at 5 a.m. after he was traveling west on Catlin Hill Road when the rear tire of his 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier blew out and the vehicle went into a ditch. A passenger, Jennifer A. Decker, 44, Jamestown, reported an injury of unknown severity and another passenger, Lucas G. Sowers, 21, Jamestown was not injured.
