Glen Sorensen Valen-tine, 82, of Rosman, N.C. and formerly of Warren, PA. died Monday morning, June 16, 2014 at John and Orpha Blair Hospice home, Warren, PA. after a illness of the past 1 ? year. He was born May 5, 1932 in Warren, PA. He was the son of the late George and Car-rie Sorensen Valentine. He was a 1950 graduate of Warren High School and had served with the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War. He had been owner and opera-tor of the former Valentine Disposal retiring from there after 31 years service.
Glen was a member of St. Timothy United Metho-dist Church of Brevard, N.C. and a former member of Covenant United Metho-dist Church, Warren, PA. where he was an active church member. He en-joyed traveling, building homes and working with his construction equip-ment.
He is survived by 3 chil-dren Jay Valentine and wife, Sallie of Laplata, MD., George Valentine of Rosman, N.C., Gwen Ristau and husband, Daniel E. of Warren, PA., 1 Sister Georgia Kargle and hus-band, Wayne of McDonald, PA., 2 Grandchildren Nick Valentine and wife, Laurie of Lake Ann, MI, Brook Beaulieu and husband, Scott of Belchertown, MA., 3 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Whitmire Valentine who died October 30, 2002. A private memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
