Activities at the library
Beginning Wednesday, June 18, there will be a series of special events and activities for teens and tweens (adults are always welcome, too) focusing on topics that may “Spark a Reaction!” Plans include:
June 18 (Study Room): 1-3 p.m. Banned Books
June 25: (Study Room): 1-3 p.m. Artistic Expression: Controversial Musicians
July 2: (Study Room): 1-3 p.m. Artistic Expression: Melted Crayon Art Project (registration required)
July 9: (Slater Room): 6-8 p.m. Science Fiction Trivia Night: this competition is open to people of all ages. Competitors may compete individually or may form a team. Prizes will be awarded (registration required)
July 16: (Study Room): 1-3 p.m. Science: Forensics
July 22 (this is a Tuesday) (Slater Room): 1-3 p.m. Spark a Change: Tai Chi-an introduction and opportunity to experience it (registration required)
July 30: (Study Room): 1-3 p.m. Teens and Tweens Only. Party Time! Time to celebrate your summer reading accomplishments.
