Geoffrey Leonhart “Jody” Rossman, 63, of Pleasant Drive, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House. Jody was born April 7, 1951, in Warren, PA the son of Calvin C. Rossman and Emilie D. Andersen Rossman.
Jody was a 1969 graduate of Warren High School and had obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Thiel College in Greenfield, PA. He had worked extensively in the Human Services field, and most recently had been a Counselor at Deerfield Behavioral Health.
Jody enjoyed helping people, and was a member of the 12 Step Recovery Community. He also enjoyed coin collecting, and especially loved riding his Harley.
In addition to his parents, Jody is survived by his longtime companion, Patricia Broderick, of Warren; two daughters, Mynda Rossman, of Warren, and Bayli Rossman, of Wilmington, NC; two siblings, Andrea Atkins, and Mark Rossman and his companion, Catherine Phillips, both of Warren; two nieces, Taylor Atkins and Jenna Weldon; two nephews, Brooks Rossman and Aaron Atkins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends will be received at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 200 Pleasant Dr., Warren, PA, on Tuesday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there, with The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
