Bad checks. Stewart Tefft, 52, of Jamestown, N.Y., was arrested by Conewango Township Police for bad checks on June 3 after a check issued to Heritage Mechanical of Follett Run Road in the amount of $3,078.14 was returned marked not-sufficient-funds on May 24 and, according to police, Tefft failed to make good on the check.

DUI. Blaine R. Vanguilder, 22, of Warren, was charged with DUI at 8:37 p.m. May 21, on State Street in North Warren, after Conewango Township Police pulled him over for a traffic violation and allegedly found him to be under the influence of marijuana and in possession of drug paraphernalia. Paperwork was filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office. A State Police drug recognition expert assisted in the arrest.
