Made in China

Dear editor:

I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiments expressed by my friend Tom Cappello in Friday’s Times Observer.

Although there is probably no way to keep American flags and flag-decorated items from being imported from China, Tom has the right idea don’t buy them.

There is another item I should like to add to the list. Since the Hallmark store closed in downtown Warren, I have been unable to find nice Christmas cards locally that are not made in China. Given the persecution of Christians in China, it is a travesty to me to buy Chinese Christmas cards, and I will not do it. I would prefer to patronize local merchants, but I have had to resort to buying my Christmas cards online. I urge all concerned Times Observer readers to leave the Chinese Christmas cards on the shelf, also.
