Raymond Blum

Mr. Raymond L. Blum, 83, unexpectedly passed into the next life at 3:00pm, Friday, May 30, 2014 at his residence in Clarendon. He was born June 17, 1930 in Gormania, WV to the late Warren B. and Stash Hawk Blum.

An area resident for 50 years, Ray was employed at Rexnord from 1952 1983 and is a past president of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

Ray is survived by his wife of 65 years Ella M. Blum whom he married February 18, 1949 in Kennedy, NY; two daughters, Geraldine Thomas with husband Larry, Chandler, AZ and Pamela Tuttle with husband Dennis, Warren; a son Jeffery Blum, Clarendon; three grandchildren, Lanye Essiam, Chad Tuttle with wife Jessica, and Danielle Alberto Novarro Berrio with husband Carlos; two great grandchildren, Jordan Tuttle and Elias Carlos Berrio Rieff; a sister Shirley Moore, Ellicottville, NY; a brother Lowell Blum, Clarendon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings Wesley, Paul and Pauline.

A private family service was held at 2:00pm in the BordenLloyd Funeral Home on Sunday, June 01, 2014.

The family suggest memorials be made to Hospice of Warren County.
