10 enter pleas in arraignment court

Six guilty pleas were entered, four defendants pleaded not guilty and one bench warrant was issued during arraignment/change of plea proceedings before President Judge Maureen Skerda on Thursday.

The following pleaded guilty:

Erica L. Caldwell, Sheffield, to one count of receiving stolen property.

Samuel L. Johnson, Youngsville, to one count each of DUI: Highest rate of alcohol (BAC +.16) first offense and careless driving. One count each of DUI: General impairment incapable of safe driving first offense, stop/stand/park outside business/residence, restraint systems and restriction on alcoholic beverages were not prosecuted.

Justin S. Ludwig, Warren, to one count of criminal attempt (theft by unlawful taking).

Adam Mintzer guilty as charged to one count of unsworn falsification to authorities.

Sarah L. Schwartztrauber, Altoona, to one count of criminal trespass.

Cierra M. Stiteler, Warren, to one count of hindering apprehension or prosecution and endangering welfare of child. An additional count of endangering welfare of child and traffic control signals were not prosecuted.

The following pleaded not guilty:

Leslie Clark, Warren, who has been charged with one count each of simple assault and endangering welfare of child.

Justin Justice, Warren, who has been charged with three counts of theft by unlawful taking, one count each of criminal conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking) and loitering and prowling at night as well as four counts of defiant trespasser.

Beth Moreland, Clarendon, who has been charged with one count each of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and possession of controlled substance.

Earnest Younce, Warren, who has been charged with one count each of intimidation of witnesses or victims, terroristic threats and retaliation against witness or victim.

A bench warrant was issued for Jennifer Irwin, Sugar Grove, who has been charged with one count of bad checks.
