The Allegheny Center for the Arts has announced winners for the April page for the ACA/WCCBI “Warren County Wonders” calendar contest. Mark Evans won first place for “Warren Spring.” Leslie DeVore placed second for “Colors of Spring.” Leslie DeVore placed third for “Evening at Tidoute Creek.” Every judge said this was a very hard month to pick the best; many great photos were sent. All three winners are in the running for the cover of the calendar. Coordinators are accepting photos for June until June 20. Photos may also be sent for the fall months (from last year). The last four months of the year need to be sent by Aug. 20. Note for which month you are submitting a photo. Two Scavenger Hunts are planned at Chapman State Park on Saturday, June 7, to benefit Relay for Life. A children’s hunt will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; meet at Pavilion #3. Admission will be a $5 donation to Relay for Life per child accompanied by an adult or $10 per family with two or more children accompanied by at least one adult. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers, one per age group.
Another hunt, for ages 16 to 99, will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission a $5 donation to Relay for Life per person. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers. All children under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a waiver form prior to starting either hunt. Participants for the evening hunt must bring their own flashlight or headlamp.

Warren High School Class of 1959 will gather for lunch at Richard’s Restaurant on Route 6 just west of Youngsville at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 3. Richard’s is fully accessible. Bring your spouse or a guest.
