Hole-in-one

Conewango Valley Country Club member Jim Senger recorded his third career hole-in-one on Monday ay CVCC. His ace came on the 151-yard second hole, using a 7-wood. It was witness by his wife, Betsy, and Bob McGinn and Judy McGinn.

Dick Cole recorded his 10th career hole-in-one, on that same second hole, on Tuesday at CVCC, using a 7-iron. It was witnessed by Larry Vicini and Chad Vicini.

Legion tryouts

Any Warren-area player interested in playing American Legion baseball this year is asked to try out at 5 p.m. Thursday at Old Legion Field in North Warren. Players are asked to come prepared to practice and to bring a copy of their birth certificates.

Golf results

The team of Drew Young and Ruth Derby and Vance Lauffenburger and Michelle Lauffenburger finished first with a score of 214 in the Conewango Valley Country Club’s Couples League, 3 Net Best of 4 tournament. The team of Bart Jensen and Tammy Jensen and Andy Benson and Andrea Kolpack finished second at 217, and Don Dubia and Hallie Dubia and Joe Hedman and Janeal Hedman third at 218.

Ken Robeson and Pat Hultquist each had the low gross of 39, and Robeson the low net of 26, on Friday in the Cable Hollow Senior Men’s Golf League.
