Gun seminar slated
State Rep. Kathy Rapp and State Sen. Scott Hutchinson will host a concealed carry, firearms safety and rights free seminar at the Warren Holiday Inn on Saturday, June 14 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Rob Greene, Warren County district attorney, and Sheriff Ken Klakamp of Warren County and Sheriff Bob Wolfgang of Forest County will present topics such as obtaining a concealed weapon permit, reasons for revoking a permit, what to do when coming in contact with a law enforcement official when you are carrying a concealed weapon and details about state gun laws including the Pennsylvania Castle Doctrine.
“The number of people obtaining concealed carry permits is… without question on the rise. This seminar offers the dual opportunity for both current and prospective permit holders to learn the rights and responsibilities associated with concealed carry, and to get their most important questions answered about freely, safely and responsibly exercising your right to keep and bear arms,” Rapp said.
Hutchinson added, “I strongly encourage anyone who is thinking about applying for a concealed carry permit and those who already have one to attend this seminar and learn more about the process and their rights.”
Concealed gun permit applications will also be available.
Seating is limited so individuals should pre-register as soon as possible by calling Rapp’s office at 723-5203.
