Minich achieves honor student status
Jennie Minich, assistant manager of the downtown Warren office of Northwest Savings Bank, was recognized for achieving honor student status from the PBA School of Banking at the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA) Group 8 meeting on April 8 at the Marriot Pittsburgh North at Cranberry Woods.
Honor students are selected on outstanding work during school and on a post-test examination.
Minich has served as an assistant manager of Northwest offices in Warren since 2007.
The PBA School of Banking provides students with a broad base of knowledge of the financial services industry. Topics cover the banking system, understanding financial statements, marketing to customers, compliance, lending, motivation and supervision.
“The School of Banking was a wonderful experience. It was a great opportunity to meet others in the banking industry and learn key concepts that can be applied in my position at Northwest Savings Bank,” said Minich.
Minich received her bachelor’s degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University. She is vice president of the Young Professionals of Warren County, vice president of the American Cancer Society Volunteer Leadership Council and secretary of the Exchange Club of Warren.
The Pennsylvania Bankers Association, located in Harrisburg, is the state’s leading banking trade association.
It offers continuing education programs, government relations representation on behalf of the industry, and provides numerous products and services for banks and their employees.
