The Warren County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, May 19, at First Lutheran Church, Warren. The speaker for the evening will be Judy Wilson who will discuss the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), how to gain membership in that organization, and how to obtain genealogical information from their library. There will also be an opportunity for guests and members to seek assistance and to share success stories with the group. Pat and Mary Ann Murphy will provide refreshments. Class to lunch
Warren Area High School Class of 1965 will have lunch on May 17 at noon at Perkins Restaurant, Ludlow St., Warren. Classmates will plan the picnic that will be held in July and should take an item to auction off to help with the picnic expenses.
In celebration of Memorial Day, the Warren County Fairgrounds, Pittsfield, will offer four nights of camping at the price of three, May 22 to 25 for $75. This is just one of the many special fundraisers the fair will offer during the year. Don’t miss the entertaining Stagecoach Outriders Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association. They will compete on the fairgrounds throughout Memorial Day weekend. This is a free event for all campers and general spectators. For camping reservations, call 730-2890.
Bariatric surgery support offered
Warren’s Bariatric Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, May 19, in Conference Room A at Warren General Hospital. This group is open to anyone who has had or is considering weight loss surgery.
