Wilder opening

The Wilder Museum of Warren County History at 51 Erie Ave., Irvine, will have its season opening and an Irvine-Newbold tour Saturday, May 17, from 1 to 5 p.m. The walking tour will begin at 1 p.m.; cost is $5 and will include museum admission. The museum will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. each Tuesday, Friday and Saturday beginning May 27.

Players to meet

Warren Players will hold its annual election meeting on Tuesday, May 20, at 6 p.m. in the Friends Room of the Struthers Library Theatre. Anyone who is a member of the Struthers Library Theatre or who has been involved in a Warren Players production in the past two years is considered a member and is encouraged to attend. The meeting is open to the public.

ABATE run May 17

The Pennsylvania Warren County Chapter of A.B.A.T.E., Alliance of Bikers Aimed Towards Education, a nationwide motorcycle advocacy and safety organization, invites the public to participate in the Warren County ABATE Chapter Awareness Run. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Brokenstraw Campground. Kick-stands-up at noon. Call for further information, (814) 779-3033.

Polka Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the St. Marys Moose Club. The Polka Quads of Steelton will provide music for all types of dancing. The public is invited. For information, call Paul Leofsky at 563-7516.

Win at bridge

Winners in Monday evening duplicate bridge game at the YMCA were Janet Templeton and Joyce Davis, first with 32, and Carol Stone and Laurie Curren, second with 31.5.

Caregiver support offered

The Caregivers Support Group will meet at noon Monday, May 19, in the Wesley Parlor of Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren. Future plans for the group will be discussed. There will be an update on the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease which is planned for Sept. 27, and the Caregiver’s Group is sponsoring a team. Participants should enter the building on the east side of the church via the elevator entrance at the rear of the lot. Wesley Parlor is on the first floor. Bring a bag lunch and beverage, if desired. All caregivers (past and present), family members of those affected by dementia, and anyone interested in the group are invited to attend. Purple Majesties to meet

The Red Hat Society, Purple Majesties, will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. this evening, Wednesday, May 14, at Ribs & Bones, Jackson Run Rd.
