WCHS welcomes Ferry
The Warren County Historical Society is pleased to welcome Casey Ferry as event coordinator. Ferry graduated from Grove City College in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and an emphasis in social studies and English. She traveled to southern Maryland where she taught fifth grade then returned to Warren County to raise her family.
“I am very honored to be given this opportunity. I grew up around here and have always been interested in history. To have a chance to learn new things every day about our fascinating area while planning a wide variety of events and fundraisers is both fun and challenging,” says Ferry. “Where else can you plan things ranging from haunted museums and murder mysteries to Victorian teas and guest speakers? In addition to helping with the day-to-day operations at the Warren County Historical Society, my principle focus will be managing the events-from planning stages to organizing and implementation.”
According to managing director Michelle Gray, “Casey is an excellent addition to the staff. She is enthusiastic, innovative and extremely proficient in her responsibilities. The Wilder Museum will be opening soon and Casey has scheduled several events to celebrate our local history. It is going to be an exciting year!”
