In Girls Minors softball action, AVAS defeated Farah Grotto, 8-6, behind a complete-game victory from Kyleigh Wilson, who struck out eight.

Offensively for AVAS, Rylie Yeager was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI. Alix Lytle also went 2-for-2 and scored two runs. Defensively, Yeager caught a line drive, pop fly and threw out one other from her shortstop position. Wilson also assisted with three put outs from her pitching position.

Jena Wilson was on the mound for Farah Grotto, striking out nine. Jena Wilson and Tori Childress each doubled during the game.

Caleb Ace, Tyler Hepinger, and Nik Hoffman combined to strike out 16 in D&I Silica’s Boys Minors win. Teagan Gray struck out the six batters he faced for Inscale.
