Lady Dragons roll over Central Tech

ERIE-The Warren Lady Dragons played a solid all-around game on Thursday, defeating Central Tech 14-0 in a Region 7 softball match-up.

Alexa Bupp threw a three-hit shutout for the Dragons, who improve to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in Region 7. Bupp had eight strikeouts in the game, and had solid defense behind her with rightfielder Lauren Frazier standing out.

The Lady Dragons got several outstanding offensive performances as well. Kaitlin Ishman and Bupp both homered, and Paige Wilson added two doubles and a triple. Kennedy Walter, Bupp, and Wilson all had multiple hits for Warren. Ishman, Bupp, and Wilson all drove in multiple runs as well.

“I’m really happy with our bats,” said Warren head coach Mark Bupp. “The kids played really solid defense behind Lex. Paige continues to have a great season for us, and Kaitlin has done a great job being a catalyst for us in the leadoff position. Alexa had a good day at the plate as well.”

The Lady Dragons return to the diamond tomorrow, hosting Erie East in a Region 7 match-up at Hawbaker field.
