Valley softball

Clinic correction

There is no deadline to register for the 3rd Annual Dragon Baseball Prospect Clinic, with special guest former Major Leaguer Tom Tellmann, as well as WAHS varsity players and coaches, to be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Old Legion Field in North Warren (Dragons home field). Kinzua soccer

The U-10 Boys Kinzua Nebinski team beat Mercer, 6-0, on Sunday. Kyra Wotorson had two goals, Annabelle Gross had two goals and two assists, and Lydia Balas and Parks Ordiway had one goal each. Ella Ordiway had an assist. Jack Seyler and Will Nebinski shared goalkeeping duties.

Schedule change

As a result of Sheffield’s softball doubleheader with Johnsonburg on Monday, the game scheduled with Johnsonburg at Sheffield on Thursday is no longer necessary and consequently cancelled.

College news

Warren Area High School graduate Emily Lobdell hit a pinch-hit solo home run in her final collegiate at-bat for Slippery Rock University in a 7-1 loss to IUP on Sunday. Slippery Rock finished the season with an overall record of 16-26. Lobdell posted a record of 9-11 with a 3.27 earned run average as a senior pitcher.
