April is a busy month and we also celebrate National Volunteer Month. During the month of April we will recognize all our wonderful volunteers who do so much for us. Jackie Rudolph was the March winner of volunteer of the month for her many hours of volunteering for many organizations.

The summer boat trip will be on July 29 aboard the Miss Buffalo for a lunch cruise. After lunch we will have a narrated cruise on Lake Erie and off to Buffalo Botanical gardens and a stop on the way home at Braymillers Market. The cost is $84 per person.

There are still seats available on the Salamanca Casino bus for April 30. The bus will pick up passengers in Youngsville at the Edgewood Motel (park near the entrance) at 8:15 a.m. and then in Warren at the CRI parking lot at 8:45 a.m. The bus leaves the Warren CRI lot at 9 a.m. and returns at 5 p.m. For more info and to sign up, please call Barb at 723-3237

Allegheny Community Center is honoring all Moms with a special Mother’s Day dinner at noon on Friday, May 9. The menu is a delicious Italian buffet. All Moms will receive a gift. Reservations required by phoning 723-3237. Don’t wait too long, space is limited.

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Monday-Friday at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.


The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers April 28-May 3: goulash Monday; chicken and biscuits Tuesday; fish Wednesday; hamburger Thursday; and soup, salad and sandwiches Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
