Warren outslugs Bradford in non-region win

BRADFORD-Warren scored in every frame of Thursday’s non-region game against Bradford, going on to defeat the host Owls by a score of 15-7.

The Dragons are now 5-3 overall with a crucial stretch of Region 7 games coming up.

“Everybody contributed; we hit the ball well,” said Warren coach Rick Eaton. “It was a good game to get us back on the field with a key region game at Fort LeBoeuf tomorrow.”

Warren pushed seven runs across in the top of the third with RBI hits from Austin Schwanke, Jason Stanton, and Todd Fasenmyer as well as a two-run Bradford error.

Tanner Stanz and Ryan Gustafson had three hits each to lead the Dragons while Fasenmyer and Collin Fantaskey added two. Schwanke and Stanton each drove in three runs, and Sage Anderson picked up his first varsity win on the mound.

The Dragons travel to Fort LeBoeuf on Friday.

Sammy Sherrard homered and Jimmy Vile had four hits for Warren in a 19-5 junior varsity win.
