Harassment. Warren-based state police responded to a Morrison Hill Road residence at 4:31 a.m. April 12. Police said Constance Marie O’Connell, 47, Erie, and Jeffrey Joseph Grove, 47, Erie, entered into a verbal argument that became physical in nature. Police said a charge of harassment was filed against both O’Connell and Grove.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Conewango Avenue at the Holly Apartments entrance at 3:56 p.m. April 12. Police said the crash occurred as a 2006 Hyundai Azera SE, driven by Lisa Franklin, Warren, was stopped in the southbound lane waiting for northbound traffic to clear to turn left into a private parking lot. Police said a 2002 Dodge Stratus, driven by John Chimenti, 65, Warren, failed to stop and rear-ended Franklin’s vehicle. Police said no injuries were reported at the scene. Chimenti’s vehicle was driven from the scene, but Franklin’s had to be towed. Police said Chimenti was cited with following to closely; charges were filed though District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that someone vandalized property on the outside of a camp belonging to Christine Borodycia, Pittsburgh, between March 20 and April 14. Police said besides cutting a propane line and a trampoline, the suspect also spray painted “payback” on Borodycia’s camp. Police said damage is estimated at approximately $610. Anyone with information is asked to call state police.
DUI. Warren-based state police reported that at 7:10 a.m. April 10 Benjamin C. Hanes, 23, Warren, was stopped on Route 6 at Main Avenue and was found to be under the influence of controlled substances. Police said Hanes was taken into custody for further evaluation and a blood test. Police said charges will be filed through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
Weapon. On April 14, Youngsville Borough Police investigated an incident that occurred after school at Youngsville Elementary Middle School, involving a13-year-old female, in possession of a knife on the school playground. Police said it was alleged that the knife was used later to threaten two other known male juveniles. Police said charges have been filed with Juvenile Probation.
