April is a busy month and we also celebrate National Volunteer Month. During the month of April we will recognize all our wonderful volunteers who do so much for us. Jackie Rudolph was the March winner of volunteer of the month for her many hours of volunteering for many organizations.
April 22 we will have our chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30-6:30. The cost is a donation and takeouts are available.
The summer boat trip will be on July 29 aboard the Miss Buffalo for a lunch cruise. After lunch we will have a narrated cruise on Lake Erie and off to Buffalo Botanical gardens and a stop on the way home at Braymillers Market. The cost is $84 per person.

Healthy Steps for Older Adults fall prevention program will be presented from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16. This prevention program will help raise your knowledge and awareness on steps you can take to reduce falls and improve your health and well-being. The Steps include environmental safety, balance, nutrition, foot health, vision & hearing deficits, medication side effects, overall health, social activities, mental & spiritual well-being, and maintenance of an active lifestyle. ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. M-F with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Mon. & Wed. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Monday-Friday at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.
The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers April 14-18: pizza sub Monday; hot turkey sandwich Tuesday; Easter dinner Wednesday; taco salad Thursday; (closed Friday). Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
