Cited. Warren-based state police responded to an incident of harassment at 2 a.m. April 7 at 1445 Sheldon Road. According to police, Peter Luczyek, 29, Bear Lake, and Edward Thorton, 35, Youngsville, struck each other in the face during an argument. Police said charges will be filed through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.
Investigation. Warren-based state police were alerted to an incident of theft, fraud and forgery that occurred at 3:07 p.m. on April 8. According to police, an 83-year-old male filed his 2013 tax return electronically in late March and was notified that it was rejected due to an unknown individual using his Social Security number on an already-issued tax return. Police said the IRS and Federal Trade Commission were contacted to continue the investigation.
Charged. Warren-based state police said Kyle Kitchell, 21, Glade Township, was cited for harassment after a 19-year-old female from Sheffield Township received multiple text messages from him at 2 a.m. April 6 after being told to stop texting her six times.

Crash, DUI. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Mathews Run Road, one mile south of Route 69, at 6:10 a.m. April 9. According to police, Jody Falconer, 35, Youngsville, was northbound in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and struck the guardrail on the east berm, causing heavy damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. Police said it was determined that Falconer was under the influence of alcohol; he was transported to the PSP station where he submitted to a breath test, which showed he was over the legal limit. Police said charges of DUI will be filed with District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.
