April is a busy month and we also celebrate National Volunteer Month. During the month of April we will recognize all our wonderful volunteers who do so much for us. Jackie Rudolph was the March winner of volunteer of the month for her many hours of volunteering for many organizations.
April 22 we will have our chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30-6:30. The cost is a donation and takeouts are available.
The summer boat trip will be on July 29 aboard the Miss Buffalo for a lunch cruise. After lunch we will have a narrated cruise on Lake Erie and off to Buffalo Botanical gardens and a stop on the way home at Braymillers Market. The cost is $84 per person.

Now’s a good time to get in shape for gardening and mowing and family picnics. ACC has a wonderful variety of fitness classes for you. Yoga and Tai Chi are offered on Mondays, Yoga at 5 p.m. and Tai Chi at 5:30 p.m. Extreme Fitness classes are on Mondays & Wednesdays at 1:15 p.m. and Fridays at 12:15 p.m. Core Fitness class is Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m. Chair and low impact exercises are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. Line dancing with the Allegheny Belles is every Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:45 to 2 p.m. Feel free to participate in one or several of these fine classes. Time and appointments are running out! The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) preparers, sponsored by RSVP, continue providing their special tax services for the elderly, disabled and low-income residents of both Warren & Forest Counties at no cost thru April 15 by appointment only. For tax appointments in Warren at Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., Endeavor at the Township Bldg., Marienville Library, Youngsville Borough Bldg., or Tionesta Library, call Sue or Barb at 230-7222.
ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. M thorugh Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Monday through Friday at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.
The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers April 7-11: stuffed pepper Monday; chicken Alfredo Tuesday; spaghetti Wednesday; ham and scalloped potatoes Thursday; and soup, salad and sandwich buffet Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations.
