Corry starts on top in trap

Defending champion Corry started the Warren County Scholastic Trap League on top again this season, leading week one on Tuesday with a seven-shooter 163.

Corry defeated Tidioute, 163-123, Warren White defeated Eisenhower 156-155, and Youngsville defeated Sheffield,, 154-151.

Levi Haenel was the league’s only 25 straight, with teammates Ticker Corbett and David Mitchell 24 each.

Warren White had three 23×25 shooters, including Jack Donovan, Nate Park and Ashlee McClure – who was high lady, and finished second at 156.

Eisenhower finished third at 155 with Elijah Trawick, Michael Anthony and Jon Shelton settling in at 23×25 each. Youngsville shot 154 with Jason Gustafson and Chris Wilcox at 23 each.

Other 23 shooters in week one were Corry’s Kelsey Martin and Andy Jasker, Sheffield’s Dustin Holden and Dan Peterson, and Warren Blue’s Michael McDunn and Matt McDunn.
