‘Art & Vino’ in Youngsville on April 5

The Revitalization of Youngsville will host the third annual “Art and Vino Venue” on Saturday, April 5, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Youngsville Fire Hall.

Youngsville is seeing progress on the fundraising done by ROY, with the Railroad Street’s upgrades and additions. As always, all event profits benefit Youngsville improvements, with everyone’s support greatly appreciated.

The Art and Vino Venue will have five wineries participating in 2014: Allegheny Cellars Winery, Flickerwood Wine Cellars, Courtyard Winery, Busch Farms Country Market and Wine Shop, and Wapiti Ridge Winery. All wineries will be providing wine samples for wine tasting ticket holders, selling wine by the glass, and by the bottle to take home. Each winery has donated a gift to be raffled to benefit ROY projects, so participants are encouraged to buy an arm length of tickets to show your support. There will be 300 pre-sales tickets available, which will come with a 2014 commemorative wine glass sponsored by Northwest Savings Bank and a goodie bag sponsored by Warren County Insurance/Winans Insurance and Employee Benefits.

Wine Tasting Tickets are $10 for those 21 and older, available at Youngsville Pharmacy, Allegheny Artistry, Allegheny Cellars Winery, Warren County Insurance, Hickory Creek Brewing, or by calling 730-2899.

Hickory Creek Brewing of Warren will team up with ROY this year to coordinate the Amateur Wine and Beer Makers contest. Forms, rules and judging information is available at www.hickorycreekbrewing.com. Contest winners will receive gold, silver and bronze awards and recognition at the event. They also will give wine and beer making demonstrations at the event and display products available for wine and beer making available.

This year, participants will not only enjoy looking at the fine arts and crafts of local artists, but they can watch it being created by those artists. Artists will paint in acrylics and watercolors, and sculptors will work in clay, wood and wire. There will be artists working with fibers, beads, collage and woodworking. You can buy directly from the artist and know that it was created here in the USA.

The Youngville Fire Hall will provide tasty finger foods and snacks to pair with wine samplings.

There will be retail vendors with wine related products and product sampling: Wildtree, Kare and Cher Creation, Raleigh Lights, Linda Mason Designs, and Slushies.

Come join ROY again this year for a fun afternoon of shopping, sipping, snacking, and chatting with family and friends.
