Lola Wagner

Lola C. Wagner, resident of Longview, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2014 following a lengthy illness. She was born on March 25, 1925 in Manor, Pennsylvania and resided in Pennsylvania prior to moving to Texas.

After completing high school in Manor, she attended the Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, PA where she completed her training as a registered nurse in 1946.

She married Donald P. Wagner in 1946 and they resided in Warren, Pennsylvania until their move to Longview in 1980. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked for many years as an R.N. at the Warren State Hospital. As an avocation, she was an accomplished seamstress and excelled at machine embroidery.

A longtime member of Mobberly Baptist Church, Mrs. Wagner was active in Bible Study Fellowship in Longview for many years, including service as a group leader.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald, of Longview; three children, Karen Swanson and her husband Alan of Ft. Collins, CO, Donald P. Wagner, Jr and his wife Darlene of Franklinville, NY, and Sherry Adell and her husband Steve of Huston, TX. She is survived by a brother, Redford Cox of Harrison City, PA and a sister Audrey Kozain of Manor, PA. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and thirteen greatgrandchil dren, plus many nieces and nephews.

The memorial service for Mrs. Wagner will be held in the Bridge Building at Mobberly Baptist Church on Saturday, April 5 at 11 AM. Afterwards, family and friends are invited to a reception and an opportunity to visit with family members. Private graveside services for the family were held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions are suggested to Mobberly Baptist Church.
