Hill & Dale program

The Hill & Dale Garden Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church on Jamestown St. A program on “Pruning our Shrubs” will be presented by Conrad Hultman, retired forester. He will give tips on how to do it properly. Hostesses will be Becky Brown, chairperson, assisted by Kay Marg, Phyllis Maze, Ann Hernandez, Ruth Ann Devore and Yvonne Lee. Ruth Ann Devore will lead devotions.

Hospice presentation

Information about Lakeland Area Hospice of Erie will be offered during bingo at the Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., Warren, on Wednesday, March 26, at 12:30 p.m.

Reflexology discussed

“Hand and Foot Reflexology” will be the topic of Denny Mason from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the Allegheny Community Center. He will teach participants how to relax and unwind with hand and foot reflexology and “Takefumi” which is the Japanese tradition of walking on bamboo. There are many health benefits from this practice, but the main one is more restful and deep sleep. Mason is a wealth of information and you learn something new each time he has a class.

Martz program planned

“The Universe We Live In,” a program offered by the Martz Observatory, will be sponsored by the Elk Township Historical Society for presentation at the Scandia School House in Scandia at 7 p.m. Thursday April 10. The public is invited.
