February Food Service Inspections

The City of Warren and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture have announced food service inspections for February.

The following establishments in the city were inspected:

American Legion, 412 Pennsylvania Ave. West, one critical violation: refrigerator not at proper cold holding temperature.

Crone’s Drug Store, 212 Liberty St., no violations.

CVS, 100 Market St., no violations.

Ling Ling-s, 227 Pennsylvania Ave. West, one critical violation: uncovered food found in walk-in; two non-critical violations: thermometers not found in all freezers, and food stored in containers on floor in walk-in.

Draft House, 707 Pennsylvania Ave. East, one non-critical violation: food stored in boxes on floor in walk-in.

Jefferson DeFrees Family Center, 210 Second Ave., no violations.

First United Methodist Church, 200 Market St., no violations.

Woman’s Club, 310 Market St., no violations.

Ralph’s/Subby’s, 300 Pennsylvania Ave. East, no violations.

The following establishments were inspected by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture through March 18:

Allegheny Valley Elementary School, 100 Main St., Clarendon, no violations.

Bair’s Pizza, 5 N. Main St., Russell, no violations.

Beaty Warren Middle School, 2 E. Third Ave., two violations: both related to buildup of frozen condensate on and around the condenser unit of the walk-in freezer – one with respect to food storage requirements and one on repair and cleaning.

Bob Evans, 360 Jackson Run Road, three violations: grill line areas – cold hold, freezer units, and cooking equipment handles to remove food residue and underneath food storage, make tables, and cooking equipment to remove grease, food scraps, and litter; plastic coating on safety bulb in cold hold unit separating and peeling; and loose hanging sealant observed in ventilation hood system.

Dairy Queen, 1067 Market St., one violation: thick dust buildup on the back of the condenser unit within the walk-in cooler.

Eisenhower Middle High School, 3700 Route 957, Russell, three violations: plastic scoop in ice maker stored with handle in direct contact with ice; plastic light shields in stock room have numerous dead fly-like insects; and center handwash sink spigot spraying water from the eyewash connection toward food service tables and electrical connections for hot hold equipment.

Rolling Express Tobacco, 980 Market St., no violations.

Russell Elementary School, 6820 Market St., two violations: both related to frozen condensation buildup on master containers stored below condenser unit of the walk-in freezer – one with respect to food storage requirements and the other to equipment repair and adjustment.

Scandia Volunteer Fire Department, 5950 Scandia Road, Russell, no violations.

Sheffield Area Middle High School, 6760 Route 6, Sheffield, one violation: dust buildup on ventilation ducts and exhaust ducts.

Sheffield Vets Club, 431 Austin Hill Road, Sheffield, two violations: various areas in need of cleaning; and loose hanging ceiling trim above dish machine.

Weidner’s Deli/Genuine Jerky, 27600 Route 6, Youngsville, no violations.
