Meddock to perform

The D’Angelo Department of Music at Mercyhurst University will perform Gioachino Rossini’s comic operatic masterpiece La Cenerentola (Cinderella) on March 28 and 30 at the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center.

Devon Meddock, a music major, joins the cast of 15 in the role of Clorinda the stepsister. . Meddock is from Warren. Dr. Scott Tomlison, chair of the department, conducts the university orchestra, with music direction by Louisa Jonason and stage direction by James Bobick.

The Mercyhurst students are particularly excited about this year’s spring opera. “Of course, I have loved this story since I was a little girl,” says Reveille, “but to have the opportunity to play Cinderella in this amazing opera is truly a dream come true.”

Performances will be on Friday, March 28, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 30, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15.50 for adults; $12.50 for seniors and students; $7.50 for President’s Card holders; and $5 for youth and Mercyhurst students with ID.
