What is Love INC? It is a nationally-based Christian, non-profit organization which reaches out to people in need. Who is Love INC? We are Christians from 19 partner churches uniting across nine denominations. We are governed by a local volunteer board of directors and raise support through tax-deductible gifts from individuals, churches, and/or businesses; we also actively pursue grant opportunities.
Who does Love INC serve? We serve people who live or attend church or whose children go to school in the Brokenstraw Valley. Our boundaries are north of Sugar Grove, west of Grand Valley and south to Tidioute, and east of Irvine.
How does Love INC serve? People in need simply call our clearinghouse where a trained volunteer will listen to their story to determine how Love INC can help. Love Inc. acts as the bridge between those in need and the church, agency, or organization that can meet their needs. A few examples are: food, clothing, furniture, household goods, bedding, baby items, help with household chores, repairs, transportation, firewood, and minor outdoor chores.
St. Francis of Assisi said, “Preach the Gospel at all times when necessary use words.” That is what Love Inc. is all about; demonstrating God’s love in tangible ways to people in our communities.
Come and learn about the different gap ministries that are mobilized through local churches, and how they have transformed individuals lives by their ministries. Our newly elected board chair, Bradley Thompson, will discuss “Hands Up” initiative and budget mentoring program. For more information, call the Love Inc. office at 563-3398.
