U.S. response

Dear editor,

I just watched our President’s news conference regarding Crimea’s vote to secede from Ukraine and join the Russian Federation. Russia’s President Putin must be holding his side hurting from laughter at our President’s vague and gutless response to his Country’s actions in the region. In the last 5 years our once great Nation has slid from the World’s leader to its laughing stock. It used to be when our Country spoke the World listened, now it is unsure of our positions and aggressive Countries can act with impunity.

I am glad I lived when I did; I had the privilege of living in this Nation at the height if its economic power and World influence. I am gravely afraid that we have traveled too far down the socialist road to regain that zenith.

Respectfully,

Lee J. Borger
